Maddy Underwood is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional dedicated to helping individuals and families make thoughtful financial decisions with clarity and confidence. With comprehensive financial planning as the foundation of her work, Maddy helps clients navigate key areas of their financial lives, including investment management, retirement planning, and major life transitions.
Known for her educational and approachable style, Maddy takes time to understand each client’s goals, values, and priorities before building financial strategies designed to support both their present needs and long-term objectives. She values long-term relationships and believes effective planning should evolve as life changes, helping clients stay aligned with what matters most.
Maddy earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from California State University, Monterey Bay, where she also competed as a collegiate volleyball player. Before entering the financial services industry, she spent several years as a high school math teacher at a private boarding school, where she also served as a resident faculty member and coached volleyball and golf. These experiences shaped her belief in the power of education, teamwork, discipline, and meeting people where they are — principles that continue to guide her work with clients today.
After spending seven years in Monterey, Maddy and her husband, Anton, returned to her hometown of Spokane, Washington, to be closer to family and plant roots of their own. They are proud parents to their daughter, Svea, and are grateful to be surrounded by loved ones and the support of their community. Outside of the office, Maddy enjoys playing golf with her husband, spending time at the lake, and being with extended family whenever possible.
